Gingham Tile and Color Replacer
Part 1
This tutorial will show you an easy way to make a gingham tile and then how to change the color to any color you need.
1. Open a new image 20 x 20 pixels, 16 million colors, background color white.
2. Double click on the selection tool.

3. Use these settings.
4. Pick a color for your gingham and, using the flood fill tool,
fill the selected area with your color. Deselect the colored area.
5. Go to the layer palette. Right click on the background layer and select duplicate.
With the duplicate layer as the active layer go to images, rotate. Make sure that rotate all layers is unchecked. Rotate the image 90° right.
6.Go back to the layer palette and move the slider for the duplicate layer to 50. Do NOT merge the layers.
7. Your gingham is done. Save your image as a PSP file because you'll never have to make another one unless you want a different size gingham.
You now have a gingham square that will tile seamlessly. To try it--open a new image 100 x 100, 16 million colors, background white. Click on the flood fill tool and change the setting to pattern and select your gingham square that you just made as your pattern. Flood fill your new image. Easy, huh?
